I have pulled up all the peas and broad beans as nothing much on them with all the wet we had . </p> <p>All plans now for next year and possibly a new flock of chicks for the other plot .</p> <p>The girls have settled in very well and we are awaiting the first egg which should be in a few weeks they are 18 weeks old today ! The Chickens have settled in and come to the enclosure fence when I walk up there now which is a lovely feeling for me  I have managed to harvest a handful of peas from the plant I popped in the tunnel as a “plant and see what happens ” so was chuffed and the parsley is coming along a treat just need those new potatoes now.  The strawberries they may only be 5 but they are “my” strawberries and they were lush !! There are loads more coming and cant wait to have them.</p> <p>The Beans , peas , onions, and salad crops on the blue plot are coming along great with potatoes and gooseberries but the raspberries are a poor show so far this time last year they were really going for it so will have to wait and see. </p> <p>The tunnel on the red plot is also doing great and the french beans are just started to climb around the sweetcorn and it looks good .The squash that I put in is also doing great and starting to really cover the ground and a few flowers are appearing. So the the “three Sisters” planting technique is starting to show and I am pretty impressed.</p> <p>The Highlight of the week was a bunch of sweet williams given to me by one of the senior chaps on the allotment and he has promised me a bunch a week so have them here in the house and they look and smell fab.</p> <p>I love all the plant / seed swapping it is one of my favourite things of the allotment. This week we have had chilli and pepper plants , more runner beans , an Atlantic Giant pumpkin plant which I have already fallen in love with ! A giant Marrow plant one each for the girls (for them to enter the allotment competition) and some milk thistle.</p> <p>The pumpkins / marrows I have planted down the back of the blue plot where I had intended to go nuts with wild flowers some have come but it is now a temporary pumpkin patch. There is plenty of room down there for them to grow. All in all a grand week .
