Plot inspection
Failed the plot inspection today (oops). The path between our plot and the plot above was in disrepair and we hold joint responsibility for the maintenance. I haven’t seen the guy who owns the other plot for a while now so had to do the job on our own. Planned to do some sowing but had to change priorities today and get it sorted. A lot of digging, leveling and scavenging of slabs later the path was back in place.
Also started the path down through the plot. Found some bark being sold cheap so bought 200 litres of the stuff. Just need some more house bricks to line the other side of this path and it should be good for a while.
Put in the raised bed today too. Bought some el cheapo lawn edging and filled with compost. Done. Fastest raised bed ever created and it should last for ever.

So this weekend’s efforts have been spent painting the shed (still have the other half of the roof to build and the guttering to do) and fixing the no dig raised bed. It still needs a bit of filling with compost. Hopefully after all of our hard work we won’t need to dig this bed ever again. Just one more to go (gulp).
I think the shed looks miles better after its coat of “mountain blue”. Only one coat and it did exactly what it says on the tin (the floor does need another coat though).
